Currently, advertising play a key role in development of market economy and individual lives .yet a issues has given vise to debate. Some people argue advertising encourages customer to by products which they not real need ;while many others don't agree with them. Personally. I trend to the former view.
It is evidently reasonable for some people think that advertising lead to people cost vast money to by goods they not need ,Firstly ,advertising may cover the goods' disadvantage, it let people just see the gorgeous surface of goods ,such as high quality and varied functions on the TV screen or outdoor poster ,Secondly ,some sales strategies could be use in the advertising .For example ,We always hearing some “on sale” advertising on TV and radio .some customers may go to buy it Compulsively after get this news, But in fact ,they can not benefit from the so called discount ,finally they just by dozen of useless items.
What’s more, it encourages people to pursue fashion in modern city, by catch customers` vanity; advertising can easily make them to buy lots of luxury goods which may overweight their economic capability.
Admittedly, advertising has some advantages for both individual and society, it could make our shopping experience less time consuming and more economical, for instant, people can get mass information from the advertising. Even so, I guess it is not the only way for people to save time and get information on shopping, we can just shopping on Internet and finding which one is we needed, it’s more effective than watching advertising without a clear propose.
In conclusion .I take the view of advertising may waste people's money, and I firmly suggest that government should take some measurement to protect folks’ profit¬s on shopping.
