do some reading是正确的.do reading不正确.没有理由.就跟杯子为什么不叫碗或者锅或者盆一样.如果一定要给个理由,那就是,英语里的固定搭配,do some 加动名词.do some cleaning.
类似的有go swimming,go hiking
在这种结构里,就不能用go some swimming.理由同上.就是固定搭配,最不是理由的理由.
语言本身有特殊性.某种语言里,大家习惯了某种表达方式.这种约定俗成本身就是最强悍的理由.

都有相同意思，用哪个自己选，
对高三 to name but a few 应该不太难，是可以用的。
但是 “and so on，etc” 不对，因为 and so on 和 etc 放在一起是重复的。
