To “assure” a person of something is to make him or her confident of it.According to Associated Press style,to “ensure” that something happens is to make certain that it does,and to “insure” is to issue an insurance policy.Other authorities,however,consider “ensure” and “insure” interchangeable.To please conservatives,make the distinction.However,it is worth noting that in older usage these spellings were not clearly distinguished.
所以,insure一般用于给保险打包票,ensure可以和它互换(有些权威人士说）.assure用于告诉某人某事行得通.ensure就是要确保这事发生.
Secure一般是指安全感,而且形容词意思是"保险的".
很好的问题，其实我也对这几个头大，之前有特地查过，还有reassure occur 我也常觉得很相似。

1 ——insure 多数会是关于保险行业的，为……投保 insure your luggage（给你的行李投保）（照样也可以用于保险外的说法，保证今后不犯错了，也可用此词） 名词insurance就是保险，保险行业，这个在美国铺天盖地呀。
2——ensure 主要是“保证”“担保”的意思，没有投保的意思。保证以后不犯错，或者这个工程要保证人不会有危险These are safety devices to ensure workers against accidents。都用这一个。
3——secure 这个是“安全”的形容词，I feel secure with you. 和你在一起我觉得很安全。Make sure you are secure when you go out at night.晚上上街确保安全。
4——assure 同2一样主要是确保，保证的意思，但有偏重于“使放心”，Her future was assured。她的将来是有保障的（比2更富有感情色彩和口语化一些）
5——reassure 很好理解，在assure的基础上再保证一次，“确保使人放心，安心，有信心”更加富有感情色彩，有一点“安慰”的意为在里面。Thank you for reassuring me about my problem. 关于我的那件麻烦事谢谢你让我放下心中大石。
6——occur 这个纯粹是我自己很烦的单词，经常记不得，出现，发生的意思，用法很简单。
